In addition to providing a gathering place for close friends and family, the owners have opened their doors to community members, artists and others seeking a space to find peace, reflection and inspiration. This coastal Maine site is at the tip of a quiet cove nestled behind several islands just off shore. Intentionally leaving the landscape in its natural state with minimal impact gives an immediate sense of belonging and integration with nature. The central core is the entry with the “nest” above. The main living space and the bedrooms flank either side of the core. The nest provides a sweeping view of the ocean and the natural landscape with dappled light filtering through the canopy.
